Hello readers!!I am here again with a lovely interview for you ^__^
Today we meet: MadameRenard!
Take a look at her shop!!!!
1) tell us a bit about yourself
I'm an italian girl with a lot of passions. I like good novels, art (I have a degree in history of art), drawing, nature, animals, all sort of craft activities, italian mountains, dark chocolate, medieval sculpture, vintage, photography, bicycles and much more :)
My main passion is sewing.
I realize bags and accessories and most of them are made of recycled fabrics/materials (or vintage, sometime). Recycling is important for me, because I'm doing my best everyday to live an eco-friendly life (though it can be difficult and I'm not perfect in doing it).
I live with my boyfriend in a home close to the country in Sicily, a beautiful italian region in the south. But I was born in the north, in a small foggy village when my parents, my friends and all my family still live.

2)What makes your art/collection stand out?
My passion for recycled and/or vintage fabrics and supplies helps me to have a particular collection, because: - they have often a retro look, out of temporary fashion trends- these fabrics is difficult can't be purchased in shops, so my bags are really one-of-a-kind goodsAnother thing contributing to give a "MadameRenard style" to my collection is the mix of sewing and other techniques like crochet and knitting, thanks to the expert hands of my talented aunt.

3)What is your biggest inspiration?
It could seem strange, but, using recycled fabrics (often in small dimensions and without regular shapes), I design my products starting not from a model, but from fabric. I usually answer to myself: "What this color/shape/texture is suggesting me? What can I create with this fabric?".My style is deeply influenced by the creative world around me: my friends (in the net and in real life), my talented aunt and mum, magazines and art exibitions. But my favourite source of inspiration is vintage. I have also al lot of vintage books about sewing, crochet, knitting and home decor to dive in when inspiration seems far to come.

4)Where would you like to be in five years?
My desire is an happy family (with or without kids), a quiet life close to nature, a room I can call "my studio", full of my craft&art materials.I hope I will have a collection entirely made of recycled, vintage and organic fabrics and (why not?) also a little Etsy art shop to sell my experiments with drawing and colors.
